The Roots of Love: A Story of Parents’ Unconditional Support

1. Rehan’s Dreams and Discontent

In a bustling town surrounded by mountains, there lived a boy named Rehan. His parents, Ahsan and Zainab, were hardworking farmers who led simple lives. They made sure that Rehan grew up with love and care, but Rehan always felt a sense of discontent. He envied his wealthier friends who had luxuries he couldn’t even dream of.

As he grew older, this feeling intensified, and Rehan distanced himself from his parents. He wanted more from life—luxury, fame, and success—and he believed the only way to achieve it was by leaving his small village behind.

2. The Departure to the City

When Rehan turned 18, he made a decision that changed everything. “I’m leaving for the city to chase my dreams,” he announced one day.

His mother’s heart sank, but she smiled through her sadness, knowing her son had big dreams. His father handed him a small, worn-out bag filled with their savings. “This is all we have, my son,” Ahsan said, “Go, and make your dreams come true. But never forget, your home is always here.”

With a heart full of hope and ambition, Rehan left the village, determined to never return.

3. The City Life and Success

In the city, Rehan faced challenges but was determined to succeed. He worked tirelessly, day and night, and soon began climbing the ladder of success. He gained wealth, fame, and made friends who admired him for his achievements.

Yet, as time went on, something felt missing. The more successful he became, the more alone he felt. The luxury that had once excited him now seemed empty. He barely called his parents, let alone visited them.

4. The Call from Home

One day, during an important business meeting, Rehan received a phone call that shook him to his core—his father was gravely ill. Without a second thought, he rushed back to his village.

When he arrived, everything seemed just as it had always been—simple and peaceful. But inside, the sight of his father lying weak on the bed hit him hard. His mother sat beside his father, her face filled with both sorrow and relief at seeing Rehan.

5. The Realization of True Love

Rehan knelt by his father’s side, holding his hand. “I’m sorry, father. I should have been here,” he said, tears welling up in his eyes.

Ahsan, with a faint smile, replied, “Son, we never wanted anything but your happiness. The world may give you riches and fame, but never forget that no love is greater than that of a parent. It’s the root that keeps you grounded, no matter how high you rise.”

At that moment, Rehan understood. All the success, wealth, and fame he had chased meant nothing without the love of his parents—the foundation of his life. Their love was the truest form of success.

6. A New Beginning

From that day forward, Rehan made a promise to never neglect his parents again. He visited them often, realizing that no matter where life took him, the love of his parents would always be his greatest blessing. Their love was, and would always remain, the roots that kept him strong.

Moral:

A parent’s love is unconditional and irreplaceable. No matter how far we go in life, their love remains the foundation that keeps us grounded.
